Patrick Schwarzenegger’s parents react to his nude scene in ‘The White Lotus’

Still not over the dramatic ending of the first episode of the new season of “The White Lotus”?

Patrick Schwarzenegger’s parents, TODAY contributor Maria Shriver and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, are still talking about it, too.

In the Feb. 16 episode, Patrick Schwarzenegger, playing the role of Saxon Ratliff, bares it all in front of his younger brother, Lochlan Ratliff, played by Sam Nivola, after asking him what kind of porn he likes while sitting in bed together.

Saxon gets up and walks to the bathroom, fully nude.

The bathroom mirror shows all as Saxon picks out a video to watch, all while making eye contact with Lochlan in the other room. As the video begins to play, Saxon slowly shuts the door — leaving the audience thoroughly chilled by the bizarre sibling interaction.

Shriver told People on Feb. 22 she was so focused on her son’s performance she only looked at his face and never any lower.

“My kids were like, ‘Did you see that?’ And I was like, ‘No. What?’” Shriver said.

“So that shows you — a mother’s eyes are always on the kids’ eyes,” she continued.

Arnold Schwarzenegger also responded to the jaw-dropping scene in an Instagram post Feb. 11 after attending the show’s Los Angeles premiere.

“What a show! I could claim to be surprised to find out he has a nude scene, but what can I say — the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” he wrote in the caption. “Don’t miss it this Sunday — trust me.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Shriver were married for 25 years before Shriver filed for divorce in 2011, and they eventually finalized their divorce in 2021. The pair share four children.

Patrick Schwarzenegger did say he would plan to take breaks during some racy scenes during the third season of “The White Lotus” in an interview with TODAY’s Liz Kreutz.

“There’s a couple episodes or scenes where I think I’ll go to the bathroom, or I’ll take a few minute break, or something,” he said through laughter.
