When responders arrived, they discovered the body of a woman. A post-mortem carried out by the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service later confirmed her death was the result of foul play.
Goodings was arrested on March 15 by members of the Essex County OPP Crime Unit and the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
