IITH to Host Major Systems Conference
Hyderabad: The Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE) will host its inaugural international conference, SACAD-2025: Systems Approach in Control Architecture and Design, at IIT Hyderabad (IITH) from December 21 to 23. The event is organised in collaboration with leading national organisations including DRDO, ISRO, DAE and IITH.
The conference will delve into the latest advancements in control systems, architecture, and design, with a focus on their applications in defence, space, and civilian technology. The event will feature paper presentations, poster sessions, keynote lectures, panel discussions, and an exhibition showcasing systems and hardware innovations.
A brochure for the conference was unveiled at IITH. The release ceremony was chaired by U. Raja Babu, Director-General (missiles and strategic systems), DRDO, and attended by Dr B.H.V.S. Narayana Murthy, Vice-Chancellor, DIAT Pune; and IIT-H Director Prof. B.S. Murty.
Raja Babu highlighted the critical role of systems engineering concepts in defence and space technologies, particularly in the context of the evolving geo-political landscape and the government’s Make in India initiative. Experts at the event stressed that the conference will offer a unique platform for academia and industry to collaborate, exchange ideas, and discuss emerging trends.
The conference is expected to attract experts from R&D institutions, academia, industry, startups, and government, offering a comprehensive forum for knowledge sharing and innovation in systems engineering.
